It was Monty's first day at the new school. She was feeling very nervous. She stood in a corner and watched the students who were laughing and talking excitedly. She was not as pretty as other students. Now, her main aim was to win the acceptance of her schoolmates. She gradually went towards the group of students and asked if they could guide and help her in the school. Everyone disagreed and told, "No one else is allowed in our group, we can't waste our time assisting newcomers." Monty was really upset when a girl with long hair came to her. She gave a cordial smile to Monty and introduced herself as Evanna. She told that she came to the school 3 years ago and the same happened to her. She solaced Monty and befriended her. Evanna threw light on the different classrooms of the school and also elucidated the nature of different teachers. Monty felt that, it was a good beginning for her!

She exclaimed, "My favourite teacher is Priya madam and favourite subject is maths!" All of a sudden, the bell rang and it was time for their classes. Their class teacher was Neeta madam who taught Maths. Good Morning Madam, said the class melodiously. The first lesson was related to number systems. Monty answered most of the questions and justified them. Madam was really impressed. In science period, she completed her activity first with many creative thoughts. She also got the highest marks. She proved her intelligence and creativity in front of every teacher. The other girls who met her in the morning envied Monty and one of them exclaimed, "Oh! I am quite smarter and sharper than that newcomer." In the recess, she went with Evanna to play and also made few other friends. After a while, she perceived a groaning and sobbing sound coming from nearby. She scurried towards the girl and to her astonishment, the girl was actually the girl who refused to be the friend of Monty, a newcomer. However, she came forward and took her to the sick bay. She tried aid and comfort her. The injured girl pondered about Monty's beautiful character for a while. She realised her mistake. She was extremely guilt-ridden and apologized to Monty for such kind of behaviour.

After this incident, Monty made some other friends including this girl and they behaved to her in a very affable manner!
